Chris Grombahi (17) has completed a move to Club NXT. The left-footed winger joins from Sporting CP, where he progressed through all age groups. The Portuguese winger, who has Ivorian roots, began his football journey at Alta de Lisboa before joining Sporting CP’s academy in 2017. Last season, Grombahi was part of Sporting CP’s U23 side, competing in the Liga Revelação.
This season, Grombahi has featured 21 times for Sporting CP U23, registering five goals and four assists across all competitions. He has also made four appearances in the UEFA Youth League and, in October 2025, made his senior debut for Sporting CP in the Allianz Cup quarter-final against Alverca. In this season’s UEFA Youth League fixture between Sporting CP U19 and Club NXT U19, he was not included in the squad as he had been called up to the first team.
Grombahi joins on loan until the end of the season, with an option to extend the agreement for a further three seasons.
Welcome to Blauw-Zwart, Chris!
